Mayah Collins is the founder and editor-in-chief of Fruit of May—a lifestyle media company based in Raleigh, North Carolina, celebrating Black women storytellers. Fruit of May has aided numerous women in their journey to overcome suffering through avenues such as personal essays, poetry readings, sister circles, and magazine publications. Mayah is a skilled journalist who inspires her readers to live passionately, heal unconditionally, and grow spiritually.
She is undoubtedly in the business of helping women transform their suffering and realize their full potential through personal essays, poetry readings, and sister circles.
Mayah was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Meredith College. She also has a Master of Science degree in Multimedia Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
