Day 9|Michele Paul|Let’s Get Social Raleigh
Michele Paul | Founder, Let’s Get Social Raleigh
Michele Paul is a retired Marine, combat veteran, and the visionary behind Let’s Get Social Raleigh, a grassroots wellness organization dedicated to creating safe spaces for adults to combat exhaustion, stress, and isolation by reconnecting with the transformative joy of play, nature, meaningful connections, and community. Inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu, “I am because we are,” Michele believes that true well-being comes from rediscovering our authentic selves and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
After experiencing firsthand the isolating effects of adulthood, relocation, and remote work, Michele created Let’s Get Social Raleigh to provide intentional spaces where adults can escape the weight of daily responsibilities and prioritize their social and emotional well-being. Through play, nature, connections, and community, she empowers adults to reimagine self-care and reclaim joy. What started as a small Facebook group has since grown into a thriving community, offering events like Adult Recess, Let’s Talk About It town halls, hiking meetups, book clubs, and professional mixers.
Under Michele’s leadership, Let’s Get Social Raleigh is redefining social wellness by ensuring adults have safe spaces to recharge, connect, and heal. Through her work, she is not only building community but also leading a cultural shift, reminding adults that play, joy, and connection are not indulgences but vital essentials for a balanced and fulfilling life. Because when one of us thrives, we all do.
